Princess Charlotte plays a pivotal role for Prince George when it comes to royal protocol as “she knows the rules.”
The princess knows how to keep her older brother in “good stead” to remind him of royal procedures and protocol.
Jo Frost, who is best known for her television programme Supernanny UK, analysed the relationship between the future monarch, his sister and the team spirit of their family.
Prince William and Princess Kate live with their three children, Prince George, 10, Prince Charlotte, 8 and Prince Louis, 5, at Adelaide cottage in Windsor.

Frost explained: “Charlotte knows the rules. She’s the one in the middle. She knows how to keep everyone in good stead.”
She told Hello! Magazine: “There are moments when I’ve watched George and he’s looked over at his sister, and he’s probably annoyed with her one minute and then grateful that she’s there being able to remind him of things, when he’s taking it all in as well.”
Prince William and Kate take a “hands on approach” with their three children and are more present in their upbringing compared to other royals who have left much of the childcare up to nannies.
Frost observed that there is an “awareness” amongst the older children who “are being informed” of royal protocol.

PAPrince George is “learning bits here and there” from his role models, King Charles and his father, Prince William.
Frost said: “They’re raised with an understanding of royal procedures and protocols. And they’re raised to understand, there’s a time and a place.
“They have a lovely balance of that and behind closed doors, no doubt they’re playing games and winding each other up as siblings do, teasing each other, having fun and baking cookies and being out in nature.”
She went on to add that although Prince George is the future King, all three children are treated equally making them “relatable to any family.”

The royals make sure that they don’t “leave it all to the nanny” and often carry out the school run and get involved with their children’s activities.
Frost said that there is clearly “responsible parenting” on the part of Kate and William who implement the idea that the crown and monarchy “takes a team.”
Princess Kate is known for her more modern style of parenting which is all about “exploring the child’s own feelings, confusions and anguish” and “allowing them to lead the way.”
Jennie Bond, a royal commentator, told OK! last year: “It is about letting them express those emotions and sitting down to discuss them with the child, rather than ignoring the turmoil that growing up so often involves.”
