The royal cheered on Europe as they secured a historic victory over the United States.

Prince Albert II's solo trip comes just days after his wife Princess Charlene dismissed speculation surrounding their marriage.

The Monegasque royal branded speculation "exhausting" during an interview last week with a South African broadcaster.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert have two children together, eight-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella.

The royal couple have been married for 12 years since their wedding at Prince Albert's Palace in Monaco.

Princess Charlene said: "I find the rumours [about my marriage] tiring and exhausting."

She added: "I just don't understand where these rumours come from."

Rumours regarding the couple's marriage intensified this summer after the Princess of Monaco deleted her Instagram account.

However, Charlene stated the decision was to protect the privacy of her children.

The royal added that she wants to keep her children away from the "pressure" of life in the public eye for as long as she can.

The royal's statement comes as she completed a highly anticipated return to undertaking public engagements in Monaco.

Princess Charlene joined the Monegasque Seniors Association last month.

Charlene spent the majority of 2021 in South Africa as an illness prevented her from returning to Monaco.
