The princess, who serves as one of the King's Counsellors of State, can represent the monarch at Privy Council meetings and sign routine documents when required.
However, sources close to the Royal Family have dismissed any chance of Beatrice receiving a promotion to working royal status.
They told Hello: "She might help out at things occasionally, such as the Prince of Wales's garden party earlier this year.
"But it's not a phased introduction into royal duties – it's just her supporting the family."

It comes as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have forged an agreement to support Prince Andrew in a bid to boost their father's spirits.
Beatrice and Eugenie have decided to take turns taking their children to spend time with the Duke of York in order to help combat their father's feelings of loneliness, a source has claimed.
Despite King Charles's wishes for him to downsize to Frogmore Cottage, Andrew has secured funding for his own security detail at Royal Lodge.
The Duke has found solace in his new role as a grandfather, with his daughters making regular weekend visits to boost his spirits.
A source said: "The girls take the grandchildren to visit him most weekends.
"They are spending far more time with him now than they have done in recent years.
"They are quite close to their father; they seem to be quite protective towards him."

The Duke's determination to remain at Royal Lodge appears driven by its role as a constant in his transformed life.
Having lost his living allowance previously paid by the King, Andrew has managed to secure independent funding for his security arrangements at the property.
This has allowed him to maintain his residence despite His Majesty's preference for him to relocate to the more manageable Frogmore Cottage.
