Prince Andrew's daughters do not carry out royal duties

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may not want full-time royal roles, according to royal sources.

Both York sisters are working mothers whilst also being extended members of King Charles's family.

Beatrice, 35, has a daughter named Sienna, two, and an eight-year-old stepson named Christopher, known as Wolfie, with her husband Edoardo Mapelli-Mozzi.

The mother-of-one works as the vice president of strategic partnerships at US tech company Afiniti.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie, 34, is a director at the London art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

She has two sons with her husband Jack Brooksbank, August, three, and Ernest, who will be one on May 30.

Beatrice and Eugenie each support a range of charities and hold around a dozen patronages.

This includes them both being patrons of Teenage Cancer Trust along with their mother, Sarah Ferguson.

A royal insider claimed: "The Princesses have been quietly getting on with supporting all these charities for some time.

"But they also have lives outside of the family.

"They've got families, they've got jobs.

"I'm not sure whether they would want to come fully into the fold and be full working royals."

The source continued to tell Hello: "In a sense, they have a bit of the best of both worlds at the moment."

Since the King and Princess Kate announced their cancer diagnoses earlier this year, many commentators have suggested that Beatrice and Eugenie take up official duties to fill gaps in the royal diary.

The sisters accompanied their cousin Prince William at a Buckingham Palace garden party last week.

However, there has been no confirmation that Beatrice and Eugenie will take up royal duties.
