Fergie, 64, is the owner of a £4million apartment in Mayfair
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie's "written consent" is needed for Sarah Ferguson to make a major life change, it has been claimed.
Fergie, 64, is the owner of a £4million apartment in Mayfair, which has been lying empty for two years.
The two-bedroom Georgian home, purchased in 2022, is situated in an exclusive cobbled mews in Belgravia.
It is located just a short drive from royal residences occupied by Princesses Beatrice, 36, and Eugenie, 34.
It comes as the Duke and Duchess of York are locked in crunch talks with King Charles over their Windsor home, Royal Lodge.
The monarch is thought to be keen for Prince Andrew, who is no longer a working royal, to move out and downsize to a smaller and less expensive royal property.
Fergie's Mayfair property, described as a "long-term investment" for her daughters when it was purchased for £4.25million in June 2022, has been left largely empty.
It was later reported that Beatrice and Eugenie had bought the townhouse for their mother to use.

Sources at the time of the purchase claimed the duchess had no intention of leaving Royal Lodge, which she shares with Andrew, and instead planned to rent it out.
Since then it has appeared on the market for £16,500 a month.
Official Land Registry documents revealed Sarah cannot sell the home without written consent from her daughters.
One source told The Mail this is possibly because Beatrice and Eugenie had stumped up the money for the sale.
Prince Andrew spends the majority of his time at Royal Lodge in Windsor which he shares with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson
PALATEST ROYAL DEVELOPMENTS:
There have since been suggestions that both Sarah and Andrew could make good use of the Mayfair property by moving in, although this also might require permission from their daughters.
Both of Prince Andrew's daughters have flats within a 10-minute drive of the Mayfair townhouse, ideal for quick visits to see loved ones.
This comes amid reports that King Charles wants Andrew and Sarah to move out of their current home Royal Lodge.
This month, he was understood to have fired his younger brother's 10-man security team in a bid to force the move.
