Princess Beatrice has welcomed a new royal baby girl as Edoardo shared a sweet photo of the young royal on his Instagram account.
The Princess of York was due to give birth in early spring and was warned by doctors in December not to travel long distances.
Buckingham Palace announced: "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57pm, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.
"The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces."

The statement added: "Their majesties the King and Queen and other members of the Royal Family have all been informed and are delighted with the news."
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo, who are not official working royals, thanked staff at the hospital for the "wonderful care" they received.
Beatrice and her daughter are said to be healthy and doing well, and the family are enjoying spending time together with Athena’s older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna.
Athena Elizabeth Rose is thought to be a subtle nod towards the late Queen Elizabeth.
The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces.
The royal baby girl will be 11th in line to the throne and is the late Queen's 12th great-grandchild.
Beatrice, who is Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson eldest daughter, married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private ceremony in July 2020.
The baby is Princess Beatrice and Edoardo's second child together, with the royal giving birth to Sienna on September 18, 2022.
The Princess of York is also stepmother to Edoardo's son Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie, from his previous relationship with ex-fiancee Dara Huang

Edoardo revealed the news on a social media post expressing his thanks to his wife and the "wonderful staff at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
He wrote: "We welcomed Baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her.
"Our hearts are overflowing with love for you, baby Athena.
"A massive thank you from my wife and I goes out to all the wonderful staff at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their exceptional care and support during this incredibly special time."
