Princess Anne made a striking appearance at day three of the Cheltenham Festival, standing out in a red double-breasted jacket and black furry hat.

The 74-year-old royal joined her daughter Zara and son-in-law Mike Tindall at the Gloucestershire racecourse.


The Princess Royal appeared in good spirits as she arrived at the prestigious racing event.

Zara has a role as a director at the festival, which has attracted numerous royals and celebrities.

Princess Anne complemented her eye-catching outfit with a pink patterned scarf and gold horse brooch.

The former equestrian is renowned for her love of horses and made history as the first member of the British royal family to compete in an Olympics.

She participated in eventing at the 1976 Olympics, demonstrating her lifelong passion for equestrianism.

Her distinctive appearance at Cheltenham reflected her continued enthusiasm for horse racing events.

Speaking to Sporting Life, Mike Tindall revealed that both his wife and mother-in-law are passionate about horse racing.

"[Zara] loves it - she loves horses in general, but from the racing side of things it's always been a massive part of her life," he said.

"The Princess Royal is also a die-hard horse racing fan."

Mike added that Zara enjoys her role at Cheltenham, saying: "She's hosting people every day and she loves it."
