Princess Anne has left England amid the current absence of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Later this evening, the Princess Royal is due to hold a dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland as the patron of Columba 1400.
According to its website, Columba 1400 is "a charity and social enterprise based in Scotland" that "enables young people, especially those from tough realities, and the key adults in their life, to lead lives of purpose, meaning and contribution."
They continue: "Our vision is that every young person and the key adults in their life share a common experience and understanding of values-based leadership which enables them to make real lasting change in their own lives and in their communities."

Speaking about her patronage, Princess Anne said: "From a remote field on the beautiful ‘north end’ of the Isle of Skye to the building of community and international centres in Staffin on Skye, on the shores of Loch Lomond to satellite operations in Australia and South Africa, Columba 1400 has more than surpassed its early promise.
"Since its launch on 3 June 2000 in Staffin, I have been very pleased and impressed to learn of the thousands of young people from tough backgrounds, along with the significant adults in their lives, who have benefitted and graduated from a series of Columba 1400 Young People’s Leadership Academies.
"These have also encompassed sessions for headteachers and deputies, for families and children’s services and more recently for senior leaders in public life and service across Scotland.
"As Patron of Columba 1400 I am delighted that the remote field on the Isle of Skye has become such an internationally recognised oasis of inspiration and refreshment for so many both here at home and overseas.

Princess Anne's dinner comes as her older brother, King Charles, and the Queen are touring Italy on a State Visit.
Their Majesties' arrived in Rome on Monday, and are travelling to Ravenna today.
Charles, 76, and Camilla, 77, are due to return to the UK on Friday.

As well as today's dinner, the Princess Royal will officially open BAE Systems Naval Ships' Applied Shipbuilding Academy in Glasgow.
Additionally, Anne will visit TouchBase as the patron of Sense Scotland.
Finally, the mother-of-two will visit the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit at the Briar Centre and also attend a reception at Glasgow Science Centre.
