The royal duties were previously carried out by her brother, King Charles.

The two-day visit represents an important diplomatic engagement for the Princess, who will be representing the Royal Family at these commemorative events.

A Buckingham Palace press release detailed the Princess Royal's itinerary.

It stated: "On Thursday, The Princess Royal will attend the Turkish, French, United Kingdom, Commonwealth and Irish memorial services on the Gallipoli peninsula."

Her Friday schedule includes the Dawn Memorial Service at Anzac Cove.

She will then conduct audiences with the Prime Minister of New Zealand and the Governor-General of Australia.

The visit concludes with Princess Anne attending Australian and New Zealand memorial services.

While the Princess Royal is away from her beloved Gatcombe Park, the estate will likely be maintained by staff.

Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tindall lives on the same estate at Aston Farm with her husband Mike and their three children.

Zara and Mike recently returned from a trip to the Middle East, where they were seen attending the Bahrain Grand Prix.

They met with Zara's cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, for the major sporting event.
