Prince William has returned to royal duties after taking a short break from work to spend time with his wife and children.

The Prince of Wales, 42, stepped out on Thursday to visit an organisation mentoring young people in inner London.

Mentivity, an organisation dedicated to empowering young people through access to quality youth services and safe spaces, was founded in 2016 and engages over 400 local young people each week through various programmes.

The future King was pictured smiling as he arrived for his visit.

It is the first engagement William has made since the school holidays, during which he and Kate limit their royal engagements to spend time with Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, seven.

The Wales family most notably skipped the Easter Sunday church service at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle as part of the Royal Family's Easter celebrations.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by senior members of the Royal Family, including the Duke and Duchess of York and Princess Anne.

William and Kate spent the weekend in Norfolk instead.

The Prince of Wales was last seen with Prince George at Villa Park, where he suffered heartbreak following his beloved club's exit from the Champions League.

Despite the Midlands side beating PSG 3-2 in the second leg of the quarter-final clash, Villa lost 5-4 on aggregate after a 3-1 defeat to the French champions the week before at the Parc des Princes.

William began his visit to Mentivity House by sitting down with the founders, Sayce Holmes-Lewis and Leon Wright.

They told the prince about how their childhood on the Aylesbury Estate had inspired the organisation's approach to supporting young people and creating opportunities.

Prince William will represent the King at the funeral of Pope Francis in Vatican City on April 26.

He will then head to Scotland to celebrate his and Princess Kate's 14th wedding anniversary and partake in two days of engagements on the Isles of Mull and Iona.
