Sports journalist, Neil Moxley, shared his exchange with the Prince of Wales on X.
Moxley asked the prince: “Your Highness- after the Mostar game we saw you and you said 1-0 was a good result in Europe. How was this?”
Prince William said that “Two-nil would have been better” after Aston Villa beat the French team Lille 2-1 during the game.
He was then asked if Prince George was “now part of the pride,” a phrase that Villa fans use to describe supporters in reference to the lion on the team's emblem.
During the game, Prince William and his son were caught standing up and clapping their team as they scored their first goal.
Prince George was wearing a claret and blue Villa scarf to the match in support of his team.
The pair were pictured standing next to Villa’s centre-back Tyrone Mings who William played basketball with during a visit to Sheffield in June 2023.

Now, Prince George is following in his dad's footsteps and often cheers on the team with William.
Speaking about the love of the team in a past interview, William said: "A long time ago at school I got into football big time.
"All my friends were Chelsea or Manchester United fans and I didn't really want to follow the run-of-the-mill team.
"I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments. Aston Villa has always had a great history."
