Prince William's message to England's players at Euro 2024 in a moment of turmoil has been revealed.
England right-back and Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has shared some advice the players received from the Prince of Wales after their disappointing 1-1 draw with Denmark in the second group game of the tournament.
Walker stated regarding William: "He said 'Don't show your true self yet, wait until the end of the tournament, that is where you show your true self, where your real self comes out as a team'
"I think he was definitely right and I think it is something I will remember and take into Man City.
"You don't have to start well, it is about how you finish."
Last month, Prince William stepped back as the President of the Football Association (FA), taking on a new role instead.
The Prince of Wales was first appointed President of the FA in 2005 and has held the position for almost 20 years.
The royal's decision to step back from the role was motivated by his greater focus on new roles and responsibilities in Wales and as Duke of Cornwall.
Prince William became Patron of the Football Association in a more scaled-back role to being President.
