Prince William has issued a heartfelt congratulations to a Lioness for winning a prestigious award.
Mary Earps, 30, won this year's Sports Personality of the Year, following in the footsteps of fellow royal Zara Tindall and football legend David Beckham.
Earps is the goalkeeper in the Women's Football England national team, who helped England reach the final in the Women's World Cup this year.
The Prince of Wales is the President of the Football Association and has a very good relationship with the Lionesses.

Taking to X, William wrote: "Hugely well deserved, Mary. Congratulations! W".
The prince was embroiled in controversy earlier this year when he did not attend the Women's World Cup final in Sydney, Australia.
Speaking alongside Princess Charlotte in a video, the Prince of Wales wished the Lionesses luck for their final and apologised for his absence.

"We’re sorry we couldn’t be there in person. We’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and the millions you’ve inspired here and around the world.
"So go out there tomorrow and really enjoy yourselves."
Princess Charlotte, appearing alongside her father while holding a football, added: "Good luck Lionesses!"
