The LSA, which opened its doors in 2019, provides free sixth form education with a focus on practical filmmaking skills.
Students at the academy receive hands-on training across various disciplines including film production, costume design, editing and animation.
The curriculum combines industry-relevant skills with traditional qualifications such as Maths and English A Levels.
The academy was established by leading figures in the film industry to tackle two key challenges: a skills shortage and lack of diversity in UK screen industries.

The project transformed the school into a working film set, with students from four pathways - Craft, Technical, Post-Production, and Production Management - working together on a short film titled Melomania.
The Prince of Wales engaged with students across multiple departments, learning about their skills development and course experiences.
