Prince William and Kate are set to travel abroad but the location remains unknown for “security reasons.”
The trip will mark the royal couples first overseas trip of 2024 where they are expected to meet troops.
Royal sources have confirmed that Kate and William are discussing travel arrangements outside of the UK where British armed service personnel are stationed.
They are expected to thank the troops on behalf of the UK in a “renewed focus” on the military for the start of the year.

Although the war in Ukraine will continue to be a cause of concern and part of the couples work in 2024, this trip is about celebrating British troops abroad.
A royal source said “2024 is about celebrating the efforts of those personnel abroad, often away from their family and friends, fighting in conflicts that are a long way from home.
“This is about a renewed focus to recognise their dedication and the royals feel very strongly about their role in representing the armed forces.”
Last year Prince William took another secret trip to visit British troops in Poland to discuss operations involving the war in Ukraine.

During his visit to Rzeszow in south-eastern Poland, he told troops that he wanted to thank them in person for “keeping an eye on what’s going on” and for what they do on a day-to-day basis.
He said: “You’re doing a really important job out here and defending our freedoms is really important, and everyone back home thoroughly supports you.”
