Prince William marked Father's Day with King Charles in a huge break from tradition.
The Prince of Wales took to social media with a throwback photograph of himself and his father, taken before Prince Harry was born.
William captioned the post: "Happy Father’s Day, Pa. W."
The photograph was taken on June 12, 1984, shortly before Prince William's second birthday.

In the picture, a young Prince William could be seen playing football with King Charles, then the Prince of Wales.
William's choice to share this photograph on Father's Day, two hours before a photograph with his own children, marked a huge change in tradition.
It was not until 11am that the Prince of Wales finally shared a picture with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

Royal fans loved the photograph shared by Prince William, replying to the post on social media in droves.
One said: "Happy Father's Day to the royal Pa! Here's to all the wonderful #RoyalDad moments and memories."
