Tuchel took charge of The Three Lions at the start of the year after Sir Gareth Southgate stepped down as manager following last summer's Euros.

The former Chelsea boss will face Albania at Wembley in his first match in charge on March 21.

Tuchel's visit to Windsor Castle follows William's tribute to former England manager Sir Gareth Southgate.

Southgate resigned last July after England's defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

Following the announcement, Prince William shared a heartfelt message on social media.

"Gareth, I want to thank you - not as the President of the @FA, but as an @England fan," wrote the Prince.

He continued: "Thank you for creating a team that stands shoulder to shoulder with the world's finest in 2024. Thank you for showing humility, compassion, and true leadership under the most intense pressure and scrutiny."

William concluded his tribute by saying: "And thank you for being an all-round class act. You should be incredibly proud of what you've achieved. W."
