The Prince of Wales was greeting admirers in Tallinn when the incident occurred.
As reported by the Mail, at first glance it looked as though William had dropped a phone, though closer inspection suggested it might have been a wallet.
Despite the confusion over the dropped item, fans were thrilled with their royal encounter.

One supporter wrote on social media: "Yes they were so happy with the selfie! That's all that matters."
Another commented: "It did look like a phone."
A third fan added: "The Prince and Princess of Wales are loved worldwide."
The crowds in Tallinn had lined up eagerly to greet the future King, with many hoping for a chance to take photos with William.

The minor mishap did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of those who had gathered.
The future King was also spotted showing affection to a West Highland White dog in the crowd, who seemed delighted with the royal attention.
William is currently on a two-day visit to Estonia, marking his first official international trip of 2025.
The 42-year-old Prince arrived in the Baltic state on the afternoon of March 20.
