The exchange left a presenter in stitches as William blushed

Prince William blushed as he was caught off guard by the mention of a rude emoji during a royal outing.

William visited Somerset on Wednesday to meet with the cast and crew of Clarkson's Farm during filming for a special episode focused on farmers' mental health.

The 42-year-old royal spent time at Folly Farm in Pensford, where farmers had gathered to discuss challenges currently faced by the industry.

Though Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm is located in Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds, the Somerset location brought together stars from the popular show, including Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland.

During his visit, Prince William shared a lighthearted moment with presenter Vick Hope, who reminded him of a previous conversation they had in Birmingham.

"You mentioned the aubergine emoji was your favourite," Hope said, catching the Prince off guard.

William laughed and responded: "Yes. Thank you for reminding me about that. It felt like the environment to do it, not for today, maybe."

Hope clarified: "That was the Radio 1 capacity. But yes, today is a very different setting."

The Prince of Wales also shared a humorous exchange with Clarkson's Farm star Kaleb Cooper during the Somerset visit.

Cooper boldly greeted William with a cheeky "great hair" comment, referencing the royal's thinning locks.

Not missing a beat, William fired back with his own banter, asking: "Is that your clean shirt?" before questioning if Cooper's footwear represented "the cleanest ones you've got?"

The good-natured exchange highlighted the Prince's ability to engage with the farming community in a relaxed and authentic manner.

The future King later revealed that his 11-year-old son, Prince George, was a huge fan of Clarkson's Farm.

"You've got George watching now. I said to him, 'What shall I say if I meet Kaleb?' He said, 'Tell Kaleb to mind his language,'" William joked.

Cooper acknowledged his colourful vocabulary, saying: "I did get told off for swearing too much... I tried to stop, but at the same time, it's awesome."

He added: "That's what I like about the whole show... I've had so many people thank me, going 'You brought the family together'. It's a great feeling."
