Darren Stanton analysed the meeting between the former US President and the Prince of Wales at the weekend, noting signs of mutual respect despite apparent nervousness from the royal.
According to Stanton, Trump demonstrated a modified version of his usual handshake technique when greeting Prince William.
"I think Trump knows a relationship between himself and William is important," said Stanton, speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino.

Trump's body language, in contrast, projected dominance through his use of space.
"Trump is spread out and creating more space, he wants to appear the more dominant, powerful person," noted Stanton, adding that Trump's technique of extending his hand made William appear "minuscule in shot".
Despite the power dynamics on display, Stanton noted the genuine nature of the interaction between the two figures.
"I don't see any signs of inauthenticity and no fake smiles," he said.
Stanton pointed out that Trump typically "will flash contempt when he has no respect," but showed none of these signs during his meeting with Prince William.
The body language expert observed that Trump's leaning in towards William indicated genuine warmth, stating "he genuinely likes William".
He added that William showed no signs of issues with Trump "from a non verbal perspective."
