Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte suffer heartbreak as young royals miss out on trip to Paris with Prince William and Prince George.

The Prince of Wales and his oldest son experienced an emotional evening in Paris on Wednesday as they attended Aston Villa's Champions League quarter-final against PSG.

The Prince of Wales revealed he wanted his son to experience "a big away night in Europe" as the royals watched the crucial match at the Parc des Princes.

"I have got my son here too so I am on best behaviour," William told TNT Sports pundits Rio Ferdinand and Ally McCoist before the game.

The future king emphasised the importance of creating special memories with his son, saying: "Those memories are really important to create and bringing him away is important."

William added that he "left the other two at home", referring to Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

The father-of-three hinted that his two younger children will be watching the game at home.

When not at the games, William has previously said that he watches matches at home with his three children, who each have an Aston Villa shirt.

The father-son outing came during George's Easter break from school.

William joined the TNT Sports team ahead of the match, admitting he was "pretty terrified" about facing the French champions.

"It has been a while coming so it is a big game, 43 years since this happened, but I am confident and excited by the prospect," he said.

The prince offered tactical analysis, discussing PSG's high press and how Villa might counter it.

He and George were captured wildly celebrating as they watched Villa finally score the first goal.

While George shares his father's passion for the Birmingham club, William has previously said he hopes his children will "find their own teams in time".
