Prince Louis is set to celebrate his seventh birthday on April 23, allowing him to take advantage of a special school perk already available to his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The Prince and Princess of Wales's youngest child will be eligible for boarding options at Lambrook School, where all three Wales children attend.

The school offers weekly and flexi-boarding for pupils aged seven to 13.

According to Lambrook's website, 75 per cent of Prep School students take advantage of this opportunity.

While it's not known if George and Charlotte currently board, the option will soon be available to Louis.

Lambrook describes boarding as "a home from home family environment" where children eat, work and relax together.

Summer evenings feature swimming, cricket, golf and outdoor games for boarders.

Winter activities include indoor ball games, cooking, baking, movie nights and bonfire evenings.

The school promises "there is never a dull moment" for children who choose to stay overnight.

Prince Louis was born on April 23, 2018 at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington.

He spent his early years living with his family at Apartment 1A of Kensington Palace.

The young royal has become known for his cheeky and playful behaviour.

He has delighted royal watchers with his antics at major events, including Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee and King Charles' Coronation.

His parents have acknowledged his energetic nature, with the Princess of Wales sharing insights about his rugby playing.

When introduced as the new patron of the Rugby Football Union, she revealed all three children enjoy the sport.

She joked about Louis specifically, saying: "They're all enjoying it, Louis is kamikaze, we're worrying about when he gets older, he'll be in the middle of everything."
