The King is 'hankering' for a relationship with his US-based grandchildren, according to a source
PrinceHarry's feud with Prince William has brought "negative consequences for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet", royal sources have claimed.
The Prince of Wales, 42, is understood to not share his father King Charles's inclination to forgive and reunite with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who moved to the US in 2020.
King Charles, who is 75 years old and battling cancer, reunited briefly with Prince Harry in February earlier this year.
The duke, 39, flew to the UK immediately after learning about his father's diagnosis, and had a 30-minute reunion at Clarence House in London.

However, Prince William did not meet with his younger brother, nor did he attend Prince Harry's Invictus Games anniversary service at St Paul's Cathedral in May.
According to reports, the Prince of Wales believes that Harry and Meghan's actions have deeply hurt his wife, Princess Kate.
In his memoir Spare and various interviews, Prince Harry accused William of potentially failing his younger children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, by allowing them to fall into the same 'spare' role he experienced.
Meanwhile, in the Sussexes' Netflix docuseries, Meghan implied that Kate and William were not huggers, and that their "formality" continued behind the scenes.
A source told The Daily Mail that Prince William has "turned the page" on that chapter of his life where he was once close to his younger brother.
They added: "The King hankers for the day when he can see his Sussex grandchildren without the rancour that seems permanently to surround relations with his California-based son."
Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, have not visited the UK since June 2022, when they accompanied their parents who were travelling to attend Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee.
It is understood that the King would like a close relationship with Archie and Lilibet, similar to what he has with Prince William and Kate's three children.
Tensions between Harry and William are rife according to reports

"Even if it is possible that some kind of managed reconciliation could be achieved, it will be never anything more than superficial."
Prince William's bond with his father has grown over the past year, according to friends of the Royal Family.
One told the publication: "They don't talk about the past and Charles feels lucky that the two of them can talk about 'the job'. The illnesses have increased the bond between them, but there is also greater tolerance between the two men."
