The Duke has been fighting to keep his application private

Prince Harry has been warned a row involving his US visa is not over after secret files were released.

The Duke has been fighting to keep his application private after questions were raised over his past drug use and whether he lied about it when moving to the US.

The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think thank, has been calling for his immigration forms to be released after the Duke admitted to past use in his 2023 memoir Spare.

Speaking on GB News, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield warned “this isn’t over” for Harry.

“The Heritage Foundation claims the hearing transcripts are proof of state officials withholding information”, she said.

“I spoke to an attorney who has sat in the courtrooms through these hearings and he thinks the Heritage Foundation will appeal.

“This document gives them enough ammunition to properly argue their case going forward.”

Speaking to GB News, Nile Gardiner of the Heritage Foundation said the documents released did not shine a light on whether Harry lied on his visa application.

"So these documents released today, as expected, did not include Prince Harry's immigration application”, he said.

"These documents were previously secret documents filed by the Department of Homeland Security justifying their decision not to release Harry's immigration records.

"The fight continues to release Prince Harry's immigration application to the American people.

"We still do not know whether or not Prince Harry lied on his application, and whether he received any kind of preferential treatment."

Gardiner continued: "We will only know that if his immigration records are released and we will continue the fight for the full release of of Harry's immigration application.

"No one is above the law, including Prince Harry and the American people have a right to know whether Harry was honest and truthful.

"The new US administration should simply release Harry's immigration records. The President could order the release.

"The Homeland Security Secretary could order the release, and I do believe it's only a matter of time before Prince Harry's immigration application is, in fact, released."

The Director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom added: "This latest release of documents related to the case doesn't actually change anything in terms of the big picture, and the stakes remain very high for Prince Harry.

"If he lied on his US immigration application, that is a federal offence that would lead to prosecution or deportation.

"What we've seen released today is just a defence of the Department of Homeland Security’s decision not to release Prince Harry's records.

"This is their version. Frankly, it doesn't change anything at all. Our legal case is to see the release of Prince Harry's immigration records so that everyone can just see what's in them."
