Former royal butler Grant Harrold has weighed in on Prince Harry's potential return to royal duties, saying King Charles has a firm stance on the matter.
Speaking to GB News, Harrold stated, "The King feels similar to his late mother - there's no half in, half out".
He added that if Harry were to return, he would need to fully commit to royal responsibilities, abandoning his media endeavours.
"If Harry does come back, he can't do his media work and be a royal. It's not something that they will want to support or endorse or have any sort of connection to," Harrold explained.
This insight sheds light on the complexities surrounding any potential royal comeback for the Duke of Sussex.

Recent reports suggest Prince Harry has "no interest" in returning to the UK or resuming his former royal responsibilities. Sources close to the Duke of Sussex have indicated he is focused on his future in the United States, where he has settled with his family in Montecito, California.
The Telegraph reports that Harry's decision to forgo adding new material or controversial content in the paperback edition of his memoir "Spare" is a deliberate choice to protect the Royal Family from additional backlash, rather than a sign of his desire to return.

Sources close to Harry emphasise he's not seeking a permanent return to the UK. Instead, he's preparing for upcoming charity engagements in New York, including work with the Halo Trust and the Diana Award.
Harrold's comments highlight the challenges Harry would face if he were to return to royal duties. The former butler emphasised the incompatibility of royal life with Harry's current media pursuits.
"This is an actual member of the family getting involved in television. It hasn't worked before with other members of the Royal Family. It's a bit of a disaster," Harrold stated.
He further stressed the King's expectations, saying, "I think the King will, if he was to ask him to come back and support or be involved, he wouldn't want him dilly dallying and would want him focused on royal duties."
