The Duke of Sussex released his autobiography Spare on January 10 2023

Prince Harry is planning to add more chapters to his bombshell memoir Spare as "readers are eager" for fresh details according to an insider.

The Duke of Sussex is already drawing up plans to add at least one new chapter to his book Spare.

The new chapters would be added to the paperback version once the hardcover sales of the book have ended.

According to the insider, readers want to know Harry and Meghan Markle's feelings about the backlash they have suffered following their Netflix series and Spare being published.

The source said: "Prince Harry is already planning to add at least one new chapter… to the paperback version… out later this year or early next, when the hardcover sales have ended."

The Insider also told Page Six: "Readers are eager to know [Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle’s] feelings about the royal backlash they have suffered after the airing of their Netflix doc, and the publication of Spare."

It comes as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry faced a wave of ridicule following the newest series of TV comedy series South Park.

The satirical animation has taken multiple shots at Meghan and Harry mocking their claims they want privacy despite signing lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify to publish content about their lives.

The series branded the couple "dumb" and "stupid" whilst also blasting Prince Harry's autobiography Spare referring to it as "Waaagh".

Last week sources told the Spectator that the Duchess of Sussex “is annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all”.

And that Meghan has spent the last few days “upset and overwhelmed” about how she was portrayed in the series.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in "serious trouble" if their popularity plummets in the US.

Fitzwilliams said: "A lot of people will be laughing at them after South Park satirised the hypocrisy of their obsession with privacy whilst being constantly on air and in print attacking the Royal Family.

"Harry and Meghan are very unpopular in polls in Britain."

He added: "The Sussexes want a discussion leading to an apology from the Royal Family because they think they were badly treated when they were senior working royals. This is highly unlikely.

"If their support in America slips badly they are in serious trouble."
