The Duke of Sussex has spoken about his battles against the UK press

Prince Harry recalled being "hit over the head by cameras" as the Duke of Sussex detailed his paparazzi "horror" in a new documentary.

The father-of-two is taking part in Tabloids on Trial, a new documentary exploring the royal's fight against the British tabloids, as well as other celebrities like Charlotte Church and Hugh Grant.

Prince Harry, 39, was shown footage from the 2000s of a night out where the duke was trying to get into his car.

However, paparazzi were swarming the royal and blocking his entrance.

Narrating the video, the duke said: "In those days, the paparazzi were something else.

"I mean, something extraordinary.

"Doesn't mean it doesn't happen still today, to me, to other people.

"But I remember... I remember that night out.

Harry, Meghan and her mother Doria Ragland claimed they were pursued by paparazzi while in New York last year.

The car chase, which occurred as Harry, Meghan and Ragland were chauffeured home from an awards ceremony, involved "reckless" behaviour on the part of the paparazzi, according to a New York Police Department investigation.

While no arrests were made, the investigation concluded there was "sufficient evidence to arrest two individuals for reckless endangerment".
