When asked why the duke didn't attend, Lord Vivian told reporters: "I don't know. He has a lot on."
The relationship between Harry and Lord Vivian runs deep. Mark Dyer, a former Welsh Guards officer and close friend of Harry's, introduced the pair.
Harry's absence was particularly notable as he served as an usher at Vivian's first wedding to Elizabeth Wimpress.
This is not the first wedding of a close friend that Harry has missed. In 2023, he skipped Jack Mann's nuptials in Suffolk.
