The Queen Mother has been praised for keeping Prince Harry “out of mischief” with the trust fund she gifted him.
The 39-year-old will inherit a whopping £7million from his great-grandmother for the landmark birthday.
The money comes from a trust fund that the Queen Mother set up for her grandchildren - she put the majority of her estimated £70million wealth into it and Harry’s share is around 10 per cent.
The Queen Mother, who died in 2001, now may not be so thrilled with the fact that the substantial sum is being passed to Harry, following his fallout with the Royal Family.
“I’m pretty sure that the late Queen Mother never dreamed that Prince Harry would stand down from full-time royal duties,” broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital.
“She would have assumed that he would always have been Prince William’s right-hand man. I imagine there are a lot of mixed feelings regarding the inheritance split. Ultimately, the royal family will be relieved that Prince Harry has sufficient money to keep him out of mischief,” she continued.
Regarding the hefty sum Harry is due to inherit, royal correspondent Kinsey Schofield said that the Duke of Sussex was given more money because the Queen Mother knew he would have fewer opportunities than his elder brother.
She said: “Prince Harry is set to receive more money than Prince William because he is the spare.”
ROYAL LATEST:
Harry chose the noun as the title of his 2023 memoir, which featured bombshell claims about the Royal Family.
“There will be no tensions as [the family] knew about this arrangement for decades. Prince William likely quietly inherited his share two summers ago when he turned 40.”
Royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes that Harry’s great-grandmother would be dismayed to learn of the family feud, given her particularly close bond with Harry, who he referred to as “Gan Gan”.
She told OK! Magazine: “The Queen Mother loved her great-grandchildren…and they adored her sense of humour.”

GettyBond went on to describe how she would often do impressions of some of her great-grandchildren’s favourite characters which would have them in stitches.
“But,” she continued, “I’m afraid the Queen Mother would have been mightily disappointed to see history repeating itself as Harry fell in love with a divorced American woman and then left royal life and went to live abroad… almost in exile, like her brother in law King Edward VIII, who abdicated for the love of Wallis Simpson.”
The royal correspondent said that she believes that the Queen Mother would have been angry at Harry and Meghan for the things they have said about the Firm.
Discussing the money itself, Bond said: “For most of us, an inheritance of several million pounds would be utterly life-changing.... for Harry and Meghan, it will be a small bonus compared to their commercial earnings. Nevertheless, I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated by Harry who, I’m sure, has nothing but fond memories of his great grandmother… or Gan Gan as he called her.”
