King Charles's Coronation is discussed in a new insightful documentary

Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Lady Louise Windsor featured in a new Coronation documentary, but Prince Harry was nowhere to be seen.

A Boxing Day programme about King Charles's Coronation excluded the Duke of Sussex, even though he was present at the event.

The 90-minute documentary featured minor royals who are far behind Harry in the Line of Succession, such as Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, Prince Edward, and Lady Louise Windsor, who all took centre stage at various points.

However, the Duke of Sussex, who is fifth in line for the throne, was not mentioned during the programme.

The King's Coronation took place on May 6, 2023, just eight months after Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96.

The late monarch died at her Balmoral home after 70 years on the British throne.

The Boxing Day special, Charles III: The Coronation Year, unveiled never-before-seen footage of the Royal Family.

Prince William and Prince Harry did not participate in on-screen interviews for the documentary, although the Prince of Wales and his family did make a few appearances.

It was reported that the Waleses chose to let the monarch take centre stage as it was his Coronation year.

Prince Harry did travel to London to witness his father's Coronation at Westminster Abbey, even though his relationship with King Charles has been tense since the duke resigned from senior royal duties in 2020.

The 39-year-old stepped down from royal duties and subsequently moved to California with his wife Meghan Markle and their two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

When Harry arrived for the Coronation, he only stayed for the ceremony itself, before flying back to the States to celebrate his son's fourth birthday.

One royal who was prominently featured in the documentary was Anne, Princess Royal.

She disclosed that her late mother had expressed concern that dying at her Balmoral residence would be "difficult".

Princess Anne explained: "I think there was a moment when she felt that it would be more difficult if she died at Balmoral.

"And I think we did try and persuade her that that shouldn’t be part of the decision-making process. So I hope she felt that that was right in the end because I think we did."
