Comedian Katherine Ryan has spoken about her "panic" during an encounter with Prince Harry, 39, after poking fun at the royal for several years.
The 40-year-old went to this year's WellChild Awards, which was also attended by the Duke of Sussex.
During an episode of the Telling Everybody Everything podcast, Ryan spoke about her invitation to meet the Duke of Sussex.

Ryan claimed that as she went to meet Harry, she was concerned because she had previously “told jokes about Prince Harry,” as well as Meghan Markle and the wider Royal Family.
However, the comedian reminded herself that she had also said “very positive” things about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in her material.
According to Ryan, Prince Harry appeared “over [her] left shoulder,” and immediately referenced her sense of humour.
The comedian recalled: “First thing out of his mouth: 'Oh, You’re the one who tells jokes about me'.”

Although admitting that she "panicked" when Harry began the conversation talking about her comedy shows, Ryan responded by blaming her friend Natalie for originally making the jokes.
The Duke of Sussex saw the funny side of the whole encounter, according to the comedian.
Ryan said on her podcast: “I was like: ‘Yeah it was me, sorry about that,’ and he said: ‘It’s okay, I like jokes.’
"And I said: ‘Okay, well, none of them were at your expense.’ And he said: ‘No they weren’t, so keep telling the jokes.’”

Ryan explained that after the royal meeting, she “just sank into a pool of a sweaty shame,” but wondered which one of her jokes he was referring to.
The comedian added: “I hope he knows the right joke!”
On Prince Harry's appearance, she commented: “His presence was so striking, seeing him up close.
“Prince Harry in the flesh, looks exactly, but taller, like the image of Prince Harry you have in his hand. He’s in HD, and the photos of him look like the real him.”
