Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned by a royal commentator that it is imperative they secure a new deal with Netflix this year.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's deal with the streaming giant is set to expire in 2025 but the couple are likely to continue their partnership with Netflix.
After a hugely successful debut series, the Sussexes' other projects have failed to get close to their record-breaking self-titled documentary 'Harry & Meghan' which was released in December 2022.
The Duke of Sussex's "Heart of Invictus" released in August 2023 featured Meghan minimally and underperformed compared to their debut series.

Harry's follow-up project "Polo" was released in December 2024, and also failed to break through in the same way the Sussexes' debut project did, despite it being executively produced by the couple.
Neither Harry nor Meghan featured prominently in the behind-the-scenes look at the sport.
Royal commentator told GB News that after losing their deal with Spotify in 2023, the couple are more reliant on securing a renewal of their agreement with Netflix.
Fitzwilliams said: "They have been kicked out by Spotify. There are no more books (scheduled to be released).
"So everything rests for the Sussexes on Netflix.

"Polo was not much of a hit and was never going to be. The Invictus series was worthy enough, but people did not want to watch it."

The cooking show is expected to showcase a range of projects from Meghan's lifestyle brand 'As Ever'.
Fitzwilliams told GB News: "I think one thing has become pretty clear. We have simultaneously got the launch as As Ever and some of the products Meghan sells will be stocked by Netflix in their new shopping malls.

"Netflix has an interest in As Ever and that the eight-part series will cause interest.
"All the indications are that a deal of some sort will be renewed when the contract expires.
"It almost certainly will not be on the terms that were originally agreed.
"Netflix is obviously hoping there will be a positive response to the eight-part series."
