Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'very nervous' as couple approach uncharted waters

Nile Gardiner, the Director of the Heritage Foundation, spoke exclusively to GB News following Trump's election victory and what it could mean for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's future
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are "very nervous" as the couple approach uncharted waters, the director of the Heritage Foundation's Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom has exclusively told GB News.
Following Donald Trump's landslide election victory, many eagle-eyed royal fans may have noticed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stayed silent during the 2024 US Presidential Election.
This was a marked contrast from 2020, where the Sussexes encouraged fans to "reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity".
The couple did not endorse a candidate that year, however, their comments were interpreted by many as backing Joe Biden over Donald Trump.

ReutersNile Gardiner, the director of the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think-tank in the US, spoke exclusively to GB News to explain why the Sussexes stayed politically silent in 2024.
Gardiner said: "Only Meghan and Harry can answer that question.
"But I will say this, if Prince Harry has nothing to hide with regard to his immigration application, he should welcome and support the release of his immigration records."
The Heritage Foundation has been pushing for the Duke of Sussex's visa documents to be made public, following the admissions in his memoir Spare that he previously took recreational drugs.

ReutersDisclosing past drug use in a US visa application, especially when applying for a green card, is required.
While it does not automatically result in a denial, it can impact an applicant's eligibility.
The conservative think tank wanted Harry's visa documents to be made public to see whether or not the Biden administration was protecting the Duke of Sussex.
The Heritage Foundation subsequently sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to force the release of the Duke of Sussex's visa records.
However, in September 2024, it was ruled the documents should remain private.
Following Trump's election victory earlier this week, Gardiner is keen for the case to be reopened and for Harry's immigration records to be seen by the public.
He continued: "I would add that I would not be surprised if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are very, very nervous as a result of the outcome of the US presidential election.
"Prince Harry has been shielded and protected by the Biden administration, and he will not be shielded by the next US administration.

A judge ruled in September that Harry's visa application should remain private
PA"The way in which the Biden administration has approached this has been an absolute disgrace. Zero accountability, zero transparency, and trying to prevent the American people from seeing what's in Harry’s immigration application.
"The whole approach by the Biden administration has been absolutely outrageous and fundamentally wrong. Hopefully, this will all change with the new administration, one that actually believes in enforcing US immigration law."
Gardiner added: "After all, over 10 million illegal migrants crossed the US border under Joe Biden, and that's a damning indictment of Biden's entire approach to immigration matters.
"You're going to have a new US administration that actually believes in the rule of law, yes, and securing America's borders. That's a big game-changer."
