Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have opened their £23 million Montecito mansion to friends and loved ones forced to evacuate from devastating southern California wildfires.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have urged other Los Angeles residents to follow suit in a statement on their website.
"If a friend, loved one or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do", the couple said.
They also called on the public to check on elderly and disabled neighbours who may need evacuation assistance.

Ten people have died in what officials describe as one of the most destructive blazes in the county's history.
Over 10,000 structures have been destroyed in the fires, which have left some celebrity homes reduced to ash and rubble.
Approximately 400,000 customers across California are without power and more than 180,000 people have been evacuated from affected areas.

The foundation has already made donations to support those affected by the wildfires.
Staff are currently seeking opportunities to volunteer in the relief effort.
Harry and Meghan have also partnered with celebrity chef Jose Andres, collaborating with his World Central Kitchen organisation.
World Central Kitchen is known for providing meals to communities affected by natural disasters.
The couple have also encouraged public donations to the American Red Cross, which is providing ground support to those in need.
The Sussexes' own property could be at risk as local electricity provider Southern California Edison considers implementing a Public Safety Power Shutoff in Santa Barbara county.
The measure is being considered due to a 'Red Flag' warning and increased wildfire risk in the area.
The couple's nine-bedroom home, purchased for £11.5 million in 2020, is now valued at £23 million and sits in a 'high fire risk' area.

The potential power shutoff could force the Sussexes to leave their property, as electricity cuts may affect communication networks.
The power company is now contacting residents in affected areas, including Montecito, about possible shutoffs.
