Prince Harry's return to the UK would "bring problems", an insider has claimed, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have "no job".
Some have speculated that the father-of-two may want to return to the UK as he is "missing" out on his heritage.
But Princess Diana's former butler revealed that there will be "no job" for Harry and Meghan if they decide to do that.
Paul Burrell said: "He [Harry] knew what the score was when he was putting pen to paper, he knew what he was doing and what the consequences would be.
"He knew that his mother suffered the same consequences, he knew that when she wrote her book it had dire consequences.
"She managed to crawl back until the Panorama interview but once that aired it was the final straw.
"She had a troubled life trying to find a voice and that's what Harry's been trying to do, trying to find a voice and a place."
Burrell acknowledged that "everybody makes mistakes" but stressed that Harry had made an error that was "huge".
He also told Slingo: "Coming back to England, I wonder if he has thought how unpopular they are in their country and that will bring its own problems."
In January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan announced their intentions to "step back" as senior working royals.
Two months later, they completed their final engagement as working royals before leaving for North America.
Despite original reports that the couple were moving to Canada, the duke and duchess settled in Montecito in July 2020.
