Prince Harry and Meghan posed with the Jamaican Prime Minister last night who wishes to cut ties with the British monarchy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the premiere for the upcoming Bob Marley biopic, Bob Marley: One Love in Kingston, Jamaica.
The royal couple chatted with the Jamaican PM, Andrew Holness, who also met Prince William and Kate on their visit to the Caribbean in 2022 to mark the late Queen’s platinum jubilee.
During Kate and William’s visit, Holness gave a public speech in front of the royals warning them that he wanted to end the British monarch’s role as head of state in Jamaica.

The PM said: "Jamaica is, as you would see, a country that is very proud of our history and very proud of what we have achieved.
“We are moving on and we intend to attain in short order … our goals and fulfil our true ambitions as an independent, developed, prosperous country.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex walked the red carpet at the Carib Theatre, shook hands with actors, posed for photos and met famous people like Ziggy Marley, the son of Bob and Rita Marley.
Meghan wore a black, maxi outfit with spaghetti straps and statement, gold circle earrings. The duchess had her hair pulled back into an elegant low bun and showed off a fresh French manicure.

Harry looked smart but casual with a suit, open-necked white shirt and a black necklace.
Kate and William’s visit to Jamaica in 2022 was less glitzy and more serious as they talked about subjects like slavery and were met by anti-monarchy protests.
The day before Kate and William arrived in the country, one hundred Jamaican politicians and other significant figures signed an open letter asking the Royal Family and the British government to apologise and pay reparations for their role in subjecting the island to slavery and colonial rule.
During the trip, Prince William made a speech where he expressed “profound sorrow” for the “appalling atrocity of slavery,” in an address to Jamaica’s PM.

William stated: “Slavery was abhorrent, and it never should have happened.
“I strongly agree with my father, the Prince of Wales [Charles], who said in Barbados last year that the appalling atrocity of slavery forever stains our history.”
This was Harry and Meghan’s second trip to Jamaica as a couple- they travelled to the country in 2017 to attend the wedding of Harry’s friend, Tom Inskip.
Prince Harry also visited Jamaica alone as part of the Diamond Jubilee royal tour in 2012 where he “raced” with Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt.
