The latest attack on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry contains a glaring error.

Animated cartoon series Family Guy took a swipe at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a recently released episode of its latest series.

The controversial programme mocked the Sussexes' lucrative deal with streaming giant Netflix.

In the scene cartoon depictions of Meghan and Harry are lying in swimwear beside a pool as a butler approaches.

The butler then hands the Duke of Sussex a pay cheque.

He tells Harry: "Sir, your millions from Netflix for... no-one knows what."

The royal replies: "Put it with the rest of them."

Meghan's phone then buzzes with a notification.

The Duchess of Sussex tells her husband: "Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco."

Harry, while staring off into the distance, responds: "I shouldn't have left the made-up nonsense".

However, this scene has a glaring error as the Duchess of Sussex does not have an Instagram account.

The couple previously shared the Instagram account @SussexRoyal but it was shut down in 2020 after they decided to step down from the Royal Family.

Meghan and Harry captioned their final Instagram post: "As we can all feel, the world at this moment seems extraordinarily fragile.

"Yet we are confident that every human being has the potential and opportunity to make a difference—as seen now across the globe, in our families, our communities and those on the front line—together we can lift each other up to realise the fullness of that promise.

"As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute."

They added: "While you may not see us here, the work continues."
