The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the US in 2020 after stepping down as working royals

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex put on a united display at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Invictus Games in Vancouver on Saturday.

The couple shared a passionate kiss at BC Place before Prince Harry stepped away to deliver his speech at the inspiring event.

Meghan, 43, wrapped in a cream trench coat against Canada's frosty temperatures, was seen snuggling into her husband throughout the opening ceremony as she watched from the stands.

The affectionate moment highlighted the couple's ongoing commitment to the Games, which Harry founded in 2014 to support wounded servicemen and women.

The star-studded opening ceremony featured performances from an array of international artists.

Katy Perry, Nelly Furtado, Coldplay's Chris Martin and Noah Kahan delivered heartfelt tributes to the competing athletes.

The Duchess of Sussex has consistently shown her support for the Games and its participants since her involvement with the initiative.

The event at BC Place marked a significant moment for the couple, representing their first official joint appearance since their tour of Colombia in August.

The appearance comes amid recent comments from Donald Trump regarding Prince Harry's US residency status.

"I don't want to do that," Trump told the New York Post on Friday, addressing speculation about potentially deporting the Duke. "I'll leave him alone. He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible."

Beyond their Invictus Games engagement, the couple has maintained an active charitable presence.

In January, Harry and Meghan were spotted at the World Central Kitchen in Pasadena, California, where they helped distribute food and supplies to victims of the Eaton Fire.

Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie will not join Prince Harry in Canada for the Invictus Games as Meghan Markle confirmed their children will remain in California.

On Friday evening, Meghan Markle, 43, took to the stage and delivered an impromptu speech, admitting she "hadn't planned on speaking" before introducing her husband.

During the speech, the duchess confirmed that Archie and Lilibet would be staying in California rather than appearing at the Invictus Games in Canada.

She said her children are "cheering on from California."
