Prince Harry is not likely to speak to his sister-in-law, Princess Kate, without asking his wife beforehand, according to a royal commentator.

The host for the To Di For Daily podcast, Kinsey Schofield, claimed that Harry would need to ask Meghan before speaking to Kate amidst the family’s tensions.

Schofield said: I personally don’t believe that Harry would speak to Catherine privately without Meghan’s blessing.”

In 2020, Meghan and Harry decided to step back as senior royals and the next year Buckingham Palace announced they would not return as working members of the Royal Family.

The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex continued to drift further from the Royal Family as they made several controversial claims about them in an interview with Oprah and in their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan.

In January 2023, Prince Harry also released a tell-all memoir, Spare which became the fastest selling non-fiction book of all time.

Schofield claimed that Kate and William “made it a point to distance themselves” after accusations by Meghan and Harry about the Royal Family came out.

Schofield told Fox News: “A significant amount of William’s unhappiness toward Harry revolves around Harry & Meghan discussing Catherine so openly to Oprah and within Spare.”

In November 2023, bombshell royal book Endgame was released, throwing more allegations at the Royal Family.

Robert Hardman, author of a new memoir about King Charles III revealed that Prince Harry will not be allowed to rejoin the monarchy as a working member as “that ship has sailed.”

Hardman said: "Charles would love to have him back in the fold, not being royal again—I think that ship has sailed, and I'm sure Harry would not want to do that."

The author believes that at some point the King will mend the rift with Harry but does not know if the prince wants to repair the relationship.

Hardman said: “I don’t know how and when. Certainly, on this side of the Atlantic, the door is always open, and there’s so much other stuff going on.

"For Harry, it's a different order of magnitude, because, does he want to reengage with his family?"

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reached out to the King and Kate regarding their health issues.

A source told The Mirror: “The Duke and Duchess contacted both parties in different ways to pass on their concern and best wishes."
