Prince Harry will be “hurt” at not being able to attend this week’s Trooping the Colour celebrations, according to royal commentator Michael Cole.
The Duke of Sussex’s royal ties remain fraught after a series of staggering accusations made about The Firm by him and his wife, Meghan Markle.
The couple rarely set foot in the UK and that looks set to be no different for this weekend’s key ceremony.
Speaking on GB News, Cole said Harry will be “hurt” at not being able to attend due to his connections with the army.

Princess Kate is another royal not expected to attend the ceremony as she continues her cancer recovery.
Some have backed the Princess to make a fleeting appearance on the balcony, which according to Cole would be an “extremely good thing”.

“You may remember last year that she wore a very striking emerald outfit on the balcony, associated with the Emerald Isle of course.
“If she were to do that, it would be very good in several ways. One, she wouldn’t have to say anything and second, we would all be reassured about her return to the best of possible health.
“Thirdly, all the stupid and vile rumours that have been racing around the world about her present condition, I won’t even repeat them.
“Giving them currency would only legitimise them in one way or another.
“If I were giving them PR advice, I would say that if it were possible for her to be there, she should be because everyone would like to see it.”
