The Duke of Sussex reportedly received a £8 million inheritance on his birthday

Prince Harry is "doing well financially," Lady Victoria Hervey has claimed as she dismissed concerns about the duke's finances.

The comments come after Harry turned 40, triggering access to the substantial inheritance left by his great-grandmother.

Aristocrat Lady Victoria Hervey said: "He got an extra chunk of money for his birthday.

"So we don't know how he's deciding to spend that. I'm sure that will come in very handy for what they [him and Meghan Markle] want to do next."

GB News host Nana Akua said: "He's going to need a lot more than £8 million in Montecito. I imagine just running that house with all the staff and everything is a lot of money every year.

Lady Hervey said: "But look, he's making it he's got so many different deals that he's on. He's obviously doing pretty well."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

The inheritance stems from a trust fund established by the Queen Mother in 1994.

She reportedly allocated two-thirds of her fortune, estimated at £19 million, for her great-grandchildren.

The distribution plan included two payments: one at age 21 and another at 40.

William and Harry received £6 million between them at 21, with a further £8 million to be distributed upon turning 40.

In an infamous 2021 interview with Oprah, Harry claimed his family had "literally cut me off financially".

However, royal expenditure reports revealed that the then Prince Charles provided both William and Harry's families with £4.5 million in the fiscal year beginning April 2020.
