Prince Harry's resignation from his charity Sentebale could reveal "a different side to his personality", according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.
Speaking on GB News, Fitzwilliams predicted a "very bitter battle" would play out in public following the Duke's departure from the charity he founded.
"This will be absolutely devastating for Harry. There's no question Harry has never recovered from what happened to his mother," he said.
The Duke of Sussex announced his resignation from Sentebale, the charity he established in 2006 to help children and young people in southern Africa, particularly those with HIV and Aids.

The charity was founded in honour of his mother, Princess Diana, after Harry spent two months in Lesotho during a gap year in 2004.
As recently as October, Harry visited the small African country, which has one of the world's highest rates of HIV and Aids.

Harry said he was forced to step down amid a battle between the chairwoman Dr Sophie Chandauka and the board of trustees.
In a joint statement with co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, Harry described the situation as "untenable".
The conflict reportedly centres on a decision to focus fundraising in Africa.
"What's transpired is unthinkable," the princes' statement added. "We are in shock that we have to do this."

Dr Chandauka has firmly rejected calls for her resignation, stating: "For me, this is not a vanity project from which I can resign when I am called to account."
She claimed to have reported the trustees to the Charity Commission and secured a UK court injunction to prevent her removal.
Dr Chandauka described the situation as a "story of a woman who dared to blow the whistle" on issues including "poor governance, weak executive management, abuse of power, bullying, harassment, misogyny, misogynoir".
Five former trustees also released a statement describing their resignation as "devastating" but necessary due to their "loss in trust and confidence in the chair of the board".

They explained they were forced to quit as they could not allow Sentebale to bear the "legal and financial burden" of a lawsuit brought by the chairwoman.
The decision was "not a choice willingly made, but rather something we felt forced into in order to look after the charity".
Fitzwilliams highlighted that the dispute appears to involve "a question of funding and where the charity will be set".
He described the situation as a "bombshell" development for the Duke of Sussex.
"This is absolutely the last thing Harry would wish for," the royal expert added.
The public fallout comes at a difficult time for Harry, whose relationship with the press is already strained.
"This may show a different side to him," Fitzwilliams concluded.
