It is thought the Duke of Sussex headed straight from Westminster Abbey to Heathrow airport

Prince Harry was nowhere to be seen as members of the Royal Family gathered on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The youngest son of the King was not present as the monarch presented a slimmed down version of the Firm to Britain.

As well as Harry, other non-working royals such as Prince Andrew and his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie were absent.

The Duke of Sussex was warned ahead of the Coronation that he would have no formal role in the ceremony after closing to opt out of royal life over three years ago.
