The Duke reportedly considered Jack Mann his 'real' best man

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not attend the wedding of "best man" and polo friend Jack Mann.

Mann appeared among Harry's closest mates in the "band of brothers" photo at Windsor Castle on the night of his own wedding.

It is claimed that Mann was not just an usher for the royal wedding but was in fact the Duke's "real" best man.

Royal fans were disappointed to find that the Sussexes were not present for the marriage of Mann and Isabella Clark at St Peter's church in Stutton, Suffolk.

Harry first met Mann at Sandhurst, but revealed in his memoir, Spare, that he fell out with some of his old friends after his attack on the Royal Family.

Mann - who is the co-founder of private security company Alma Risk - had his business trip to Libya suspended last year.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

"We did not continue the journey from Malta on the advice of Maltese immigration to rectify our paperwork,' Mann told the Daily Mail.

He added: "The issue was resolved within five days."

Their family have often had unfortunate attention following the actions of his father, Old Etonian adventurer and former SAS officer, Simon Mann.

While attempting to remove Teodoro Obiang, president of Equatorial Guinea, from power, Simon found himself in prison with Obiang threatening to eat his testicles.
