The Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho stepped down 'in solidarity' with the board of trustees after their relationship with Dr Chandauka 'broke down beyond repair'

Prince Harry is facing "extremely damaging" allegations following his resignation from co-founded charity Sentebale, as Dr Sophie Chandauka has since accused the duke of "bullying and harassment".

In a joint statement with the organisation's co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, the pair said they stepped down "in solidarity" with the board of trustees after their relationship with Chandauka "broke down beyond repair".

However, Chandauka told Sky News that the move by Harry was an "attack" and an "example of harassment and bullying at scale".

She added: "The only reason I'm here is because at some point on Tuesday, Prince Harry authorised the release of a damaging piece of news to the outside world. Can you imagine what that attack has done for me, on me and the 540 individuals in the Sentebale organisations and their families?"

Discussing the growing crisis for the Duke of Sussex, royal broadcaster Rafe Heydel-Mankoo told GB News that the accusations are "extremely damaging" for him, and argued that he is "getting a taste of his own medicine".

Heydel-Mankoo explained: "These are some startling accusations made, and whether they're true or not, I'm sure many people will be having a moment of schadenfreude that the Sussexes are getting a taste of their own medicine, finding themselves in just the position that they put the Royal Family in with their baseless accusations, including suggestions of bullying and racism.

"Doctor Chandauka is a very impressive figure - this is not a thin-skinned snowflake. This is a woman who is an international corporate lawyer, who has served in senior roles in international banks and at meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram."

Issuing caution to the royal, Heydel-Mankoo warned that if Chandauka was to launch a lawsuit against Harry, she may have "firm ground to stand on".

Heydel-Mankoo said: "This is a woman who knows the law, and if she's so confident that she could actually launch a lawsuit here, she must think that she has firm grounds to stand on.

"I think it's extremely damaging for Prince Harry, who, of course, we have to acknowledge for him that Sentebale has been one of the only anchor points in his adult life. For all the tumult and turmoil he's been through, that's been something that's given him at least some grounding on which to peg his credentials as a humanitarian."

Highlighting a key "irony" of the allegations, Heydel-Mankoo claimed that the Duke being accused of "misogynoir" is a term that his wife Meghan Markle "could have come up with".

Heydel-Mankoo told GB News: "Prince Harry has been accused of bullying, harassment, misogyny and misogynoir. Now this is a new term, which apparently means misogyny against black women.

"And the irony here, of course, is that this is precisely the sort of term you would have imagined Meghan to have come up with, and it is being used against her husband."

A source close to Prince Harry and the former trustees has denied Dr Sophie Chandauka's claims as "completely baseless".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex declined to offer any formal response to the accusations.

GB News understands the trustees and patrons have brushed off the accusations as a publicity stunt and remain firm in their resignation.
