Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are "likely asking questions" about Prince Harry following their split, a royal commentator has exclusively told GB News.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, was a present uncle figure in the Waleses' children's lives before moving to California in 2020.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, now live in Montecito with their children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

Since then, the relationships between Prince William and his younger brother have become strained.

Lydia Alty, a royal commentator, spoke exclusively to GB News to examine the Duke of Sussex's relationship with Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

She said: "Prince Harry used to be close to his brother, Prince William.

"He was also very close to Prince William's wife, the Princess of Wales and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

"Harry was even close to his father, despite reports and claims from him that he wasn’t."

Since stepping back as working royals in 2020, the Sussexes have made several negative comments about the Royal Family.

For example, in Harry's memoir Spare, the duke claims that King Charles did not hug his youngest son after learning about Princess Diana's death.

He also told Oprah Winfrey in a 2021 interview that the monarch "cut him off financially" after stepping back as a working royal.

Alty suggested that Kate and William's three children will likely be asking questions about their uncle, who they have barely seen over the past four years.

She continued: "Now that the royals have all split up and, as far as we know, not talking, this will have affected George, Charlotte and Louis.

"His nephews and niece will probably be wondering why they haven't seen their uncle and cousins."

Prince Harry returned to London earlier this week to attend the WellChild Awards.

Despite being in the same country, the father-of-two did not meet with King Charles or Prince William.
