Prince George appeared to take a close mate to tonight's major match as his siblings, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, stayed home.

The future King is a huge Aston Villa fan, just like the Prince of Wales.

George and his friend could be seen locked in a deep conversation while Aston Villa took on Paris Saint-Germain.

His two younger siblings are understood not to have chosen a football team to support.

When asked about his children's football allegiances, William explained: "I've left the other two at home, probably watching tonight, so we'll wait and see who they support."

Despite being a Villa fan himself, Prince William maintains he's "generally very open to whoever they support" when it comes to Charlotte and Louis' football allegiances.

He did admit to TNT Sports: "I'm a bit biased."

The Prince added: "But also they come to games with Villa. They're going to probably support Villa."

The Prince of Wales, 42, and his eldest son, 11, were seen in a VIP hospitality box tonight as they prepared to watch their beloved team attempt to overturn a two-goal deficit from the first leg.

Prince George was seen sporting a half-and-half scarf featuring the emblems of both Aston Villa and PSG as he settled in to watch the match.

The Prince of Wales looked pensive while clutching a drink in the hospitality area, preparing for what promised to be a tense evening of football.

Both William and George attended the first leg at the Parc des Princes in Paris last Wednesday, which PSG won 3-1.

The father and son experienced an emotional rollercoaster during that match, celebrating enthusiastically when Morgan Rogers gave Villa a first-half lead.

Their joy was short-lived as PSG equalised through Desire Doue before going on to secure a two-goal advantage.

William had been personally invited to the Paris match by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The future King had previously explained to TNT Sports how the Champions League tie would create "special memories" with his eldest son.

"I want George to experience a night out in a big competition, those memories are really important to create and bringing him away is important," he said.

The Prince of Wales described himself as "confident and excited" ahead of the first leg, despite admitting to being "pretty terrified" about facing the French champions.

William's passion for Villa has been evident throughout the season, with the royal regularly attending both domestic and European fixtures.

Before the first leg, he had boldly predicted a 2-1 victory for Unai Emery's side, though PSG ultimately proved too strong on the night.
