King Charles intends to cut the funding his brother receives

Prince Andrew intends to call his brother's bluff by refusing to leave his mansion according to a royal source.

The Duke of York would want the millions of pounds he spent on upkeep of the Royal Lodge to be reimbursed to him before leaving the property.

Earlier this week it was reported that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson had been left "distraught" as King Charles slashed a pivotal grant that helped his brother upkeep his mansion.

A source said: “It feels as though his brother wishes to evict him.”

They continued: “Andrew and Sarah are distraught they have been given such short notice. The Queen died only a few months ago.

“He’s not being explicitly kicked out but it’s expected that he won’t be able to afford the maintenance. Royal Lodge has a swimming pool, 98 acres of land and is already in need of some repair.”

However, according to a fresh claim from a source, Andrew has no intention of leaving the Royal Lodge.

They told the Mirror: "He [said] he's not leaving, there is no chance that will happen and even if the King wanted him how would that work?

"The King won't evict him so there is no chance it will come to that."

The source added: "If he [the King] wants to spend millions reimbursing him for the money he's already spent on the property, that's another matter."

Earlier this week, a royal commentator told GB News that the Duke of York is now considering pursuing a career in the US.

Angela Levin told GB News: "I'm hearing that it's just something he's thinking about.

"I don't think he'll go there; he's watching what Harry and Megan are doing.

"The thing is, he and Charles just don't get on.

"And whereas he had his mother, and he was his mother's favourite, and she would always help him do what he wants, William just won't. They are not friends.

"He's obviously been left a load of money from his mother, and he can take that, and start a new life."
