Prince Andrew and Fergie have made a shock Easter appearance as the Duke of York rushed inside the chapel.

In a surprising turn of events, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson made a joint appearance at Windsor Castle for Easter Sunday today, just months after pulling out of the Royal Family’s Christmas celebrations.

The ex-husband and wife, who have remained close despite their divorce in 1996, were photographed arriving at St George’s Chapel alongside other members of the Royal Family for the traditional Easter Mattins service.

While the Duchess of York stayed outside with Princess Anne and her husband, Timothy Laurence, Prince Andrew rushed inside, avoiding photographers.

Also present today were Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Princess Anne and Timothy Laurence, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

They arrived before King Charles and Queen Camilla, who were driven to the entrance of St George's Chapel.

Andrew and Sarah's presence was notable, as they had previously opted not to attend the Royal Family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham, marking their absence from one of the most high-profile events in the royal calendar.

This was due to the controversy surrounding Yang Tengbo, a Chinese businessman and alleged spy linked to Prince Andrew.

This development raised eyebrows, with critics questioning the Duke’s connections to the businessman.

The Royal Family has maintained a more distant stance towards Andrew in recent years following the scandal surrounding his connections to Jeffrey Epstein.

Despite this, Prince Andrew and Fergie, as she is affectionately known, have continued to maintain a visible presence in royal affairs, particularly at family events.

Despite the ongoing media storm surrounding Andrew, he and Sarah have maintained close ties.

Though the couple's Easter service appearance is unexpected, it underscores their desire to remain involved in royal events and maintain a public presence, despite the controversies surrounding Andrew’s name.

It’s unclear whether this marks a shift in the King’s reported feud with his younger brother, but the Yorks' presence certainly made a statement on a significant day for the Royal Family.
