Prince Andrew faces a new problem as the "ageing" Royal Lodge has "serious structural damage", according to a property expert.
The expert estimated that the Duke of York faces costs of "upwards of £250,000" for urgent repairs, including brick repointing, waterproof treatments, repainting, and even structural reinforcement.
Terry Fisher of We Buy Any Home has explained how much the father of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice will have to pay to restore the "crumbling" property.
He said: "Royal Lodge appears to be showing visible signs of ageing, including peeling paint, mould on exterior bricks, and likely underlying damp or poor insulation.

It follows the duke found the money to stay at Royal Lodge, after King Charles tried to force him to downsize to the former home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Frogmore Cottage.
The Duke of York has relied on funding from his brother since he stepped down from royal life after his infamous Newsnight interview in 2019 but has now found alternative financing.
It was confirmed by the keeper of the privy purse, Sir Micheal Stevens, that the money the Duke of York will use to stay at Royal Lodge comes from legitimate sources.

Fisher added: "Consistent maintenance is vital to preserving the asset's worth, especially in a historic property where deferred repairs can escalate into more costly restoration projects.
"The value impact would not only stem from immediate appearance but also from any repairs needed to bring the property up to standard.
"As wear increases, so does the risk that these issues will start to affect both interior and structural elements, potentially bringing down its real market value."
